City Information System for the City of Poznań
ABOUT THE PROJECT
The City Information System 2017 for the city of Poznań was developed by the consortium of Double Brand and Brandburg (design and concept) and Kreativia (technical implementation). To maintain consistency, the graphics are based on both the Universal Communication System in Poznań (manual basic) developed in 2015 and the existing Information System from 2003.

THE CHALLENGE
Our task was to harmonize, supplement and develop the missing principles of urban identification and, on their basis, to create a coherent system (along with a technological and executive description). Taking into consideration the above, the whole process was from the outset supposed to be an evolution, which, while respecting the already adopted solutions, aimed to make the project more attractive, as well as to standardize and bring its own creative contribution to it.
PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION
The system we have prepared is a comprehensive, coherent and legible project covering all areas of information in the city space. This clear information is intended to serve residents and visitors to the city, and accompany the users of the urban space almost unnoticeably. As part of the work, we managed to develop several interesting solutions, e.g. creating the so-called walking distance – information for pedestrians showing the distances to landmarks in the city or cyclists’ trip counters on constantly developing bicycle paths.
For us, an agency from Poznań and people moving around Poznań on a daily basis, the preparation of a new Visual Information System was of particular importance. You can download the file of the whole System here.
