Lavåberg -
in the beginning, there was lava

ABOUT THE PROJECT

You rarely get the opportunity to create something from scratch.. To create a brand with full potential and know-how that only needs to be brought to life. That was the task we received from our client, who wanted to breathe freshness into the bathroom market.

Lavåberg is a brand that draws from the best Scandinavian standards. Its products have simple, timeless forms, are made of natural material and possess excellent functionality. All this brings the design of Lavåberg close to people, putting their needs and satisfaction of use first. The material for bathtubs, shower trays and washbasins contains 75% natural dolomite rock, which is created as a result of volcanic activity 250 million years ago. The beauty of dolomite rocks, admiration for the Scandinavian landscape and a natural lifestyle inspired us to create a brand different from all others.

PROCESS

At first, we gave ourselves a lot of time to discuss products, communications and markets. Then we conducted joint research and continued talking. When we finally wrote down the conclusions, we managed to design a name. At the next stage, in order to develop the unique character of the Lavåberg brand, we worked a lot on moodboards. We wanted all team members to be 100% convinced of the language and tone in which we wanted to communicate. When the time came to design the logo, we already knew that this was it. But we continued to work, on every detail and shade. Ultimately, we created a logotype and key visual, which reflects all the assumptions referred to above. The brown colour we introduced is something completely new in the category of bathroom products, where identification is based on shades of white, black and blue.

SUPPORTING MATERIALS

After completing the work on the brand book, we designed and implemented a number of supporting materials such as catalogues, price lists, templates, instructions, packaging and labels, product presentations, stands and online materials.
